The perfect autumnal wedding, 75 guests witnessing the ceremony in the picturesque Library and everyone dancing the night away afterwards in the Garden Pavilion.
The library room (where we had our ceremony) was one of the most beautiful and unique wedding spaces we had seen. The venue and grounds in general were absolutely stunning. We got a very positive feeling when we first walked around the venue. All of the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Another thing that stood out was how flexible the venue was when it came to planning our wedding day, as we found some wedding venues were quite restrictive on certain aspects. Oakley Hall were also very transparent on pricing and there were no hidden costs.
What made Oakley Hall stand out for you as a wedding venue?
We got married in October and so we went with an autumnal colour scheme. We thought that this scheme would bode well with the grounds and the colours of the leaves at that time of year.
What inspired you to choose the decor & colour scheme of your wedding?
It's quite hard to pinpoint the most memorable part of the day as it was all perfect but if we had to pick one it would be the actual wedding ceremony in the Library Room.
What was the most memorable part of your day?
The woodland walk.
Where was your favourite photo spot?
Having all of our family and friends there to celebrate with us at an incredible venue.
What made your day extra special?
Don't be afraid to ask too many questions and try to get as much organised as soon as possible.
Do you have any top tips for other couples planning their wedding?
All of the courses were lovely but our particular favourite was the beef carpaccio as the starter.
Tell us about your wedding breakfast. What was your favourite dish?
