A wonderfully intimate wedding of 30 guests with a ceremony under the Woodland Pavilion. The laid-back & relaxed BBQ wedding breakfast was on the Garden Terrace with beautiful views of the immaculate Oakley Hall estate and the blue sky!

The grounds are beautiful and we really wanted to get married outside. It was a venue which ticked all our needs for a relaxed wedding.

What made Oakley Hall stand out for you as a wedding venue?

We wanted a relaxed natural feel so chose white and green florals and used the inspiration of the beautiful countryside.

What inspired you to choose the decor & colour scheme of your wedding?

The ceremony, the weather was very kind to us and we were able to be married outside under the Woodland Pavilion. That was a real special moment for us both which we will always remember.

What was the most memorable part of your day?

The confetti shot near the fountain and the gardens, where our photographer took shots of us.

Where was your favourite photo spot?

All of the staff at Oakley couldn’t do enough for us. Ben was a brilliant character and great with our guests. Zoe was really helpful the evening before when we came to set up, we felt like nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good, everyone enjoyed the BBQ. The planning side was made really relaxed, yet super organised thanks to Sinead. She really kept everything in order which allowed everyone to follow the days agenda. It went perfectly. Also, thanks to the chefs who repaired our wedding cake en route had a bit of a blip! They were life savers!

What made your day extra special?

Plan the day how YOU want. Invite who YOU want and remember to enjoy every moment.

Do you have any top tips for other couples planning their wedding?

The sausages were so tasty! The portions were very good, the salads and breads were a nice variety. Many said the burgers were massive and really good quality. We loved the fact we chose an informal wedding breakfast, it meant that with our modest size party everyone could just relax and enjoy the celebrations which didn’t feel strict or your ‘typical’ wedding sit-down with top table etc. we loved this casual element.

Tell us about your wedding breakfast. What was your favourite dish?
